Something's Happening Here

On this small corner of Garfield and Sixth, in Park Slope, big things are happening. For the last 5 years, we've been using our Phonic Engine® Reading Method, and its assistive software, KidsVoyager® Online, to help children with reading enrichment and intervention. This includes children with entrenched problems who seemed to have run out of options, some with underlying Speech and Language disorders in Phonological Processing, Auditory Processing, and Dyslexia. Children who have attended our program 1 - 2 hours per week, and used our technology at home for our homework, school homework and enjoyment, have caught up, kept up, and excelled.

Starting September, 2011, we will be incorporating this Method into our treatment for children with Speech and Language problems as well, specifically to help treat Speech Sound Disorders (phonological processes), Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Language Delay (4 and up), Language Disorders (receptive & expressive), and Auditory/Language Processing disorders. We will provide training during sessions (for preschoolers, involving parents), and provide software for home use. This may also eliminate or mitigate current or future reading problems to which they may be predisposed.
